I would like to leave the last word to Aunt Mary Ellen, who read us this poem on her 80th birthday, and which I thought of as we hiked today. I think this sums up the attitude of the group:
Whether the weather be fine
Or whether the weather be not,
Whether the weather be cold,
Or whether the weather be hot.
We’ll weather the weather ,
Whatever the weather,
Whether we like it or not!
Thank, everyone for your upbeat spirits and waterproof good cheer!
(Note: winners will be announced at the next hike. If you wish to try to influence the voting, I accept envelopes stuffed with cash, $50 and $100 bills only)
